Heidi’s Deep Hope is that all of her students would learn that all they do can be an offering of worship to Jesus.

Heidi Unrau teaches Grades K-5 Music

Mrs. Unrau loves seeing growth in her students; the moments when they "get it" and joy radiates from them because they know they've accomplished something challenging. Heidi has been teaching at Westpark since 2016 and she loves being able to share Jesus with her students: how much He loves them, how much each and every one of them matter to Him. Mrs. Unrau wants her classroom to be a safe and inclusive place where all students are respectful to themselves and others and thus are able to take risks, make mistakes, and learn. She desires that all of her students would know and feel Jesus's love for them. She prays that each one of them would come to know Him as their personal Saviour and Heavenly Father. Her Deep Hope is that all of her students would learn that all they do can be an offering of worship to Jesus. 

Outside of school, Mrs. Unrau plays in a concert band, teaches private music lessons, reads, gardens, knits, cooks, bakes, and helps on the farm she shares with her husband Garett and their cats!
