Corey Willms

Corey strives to create a classroom environment which is safe and where students are respectful to each other and feel free to show compassion to one another and ask any questions that they may have.

Corey Willms is the Assistant Principal, teaches Grade 7 Social Studies, and Grade 8 Bible Teacher

Mr. Willms loves working with young people and seeing them grow and mature in different ways. He finds it exciting when the lightbulb goes on for students and they understand something that they didn't before. Corey has been on staff since 2020 and although he enjoys seeing academic and athletic development, his favourite moments occur when students show spiritual growth and character growth. Corey strives to create a classroom environment which is safe and where students are respectful to each other and feel free to show compassion to one another and ask any questions that they may have. Mr. Willms loves that he can dive into spiritual issues at Westpark. He has found it a privilege to see answered prayers over the years, including miracles of healing in the classrooms and hallways. He appreciates the support of parents and is thankful to work with the incredible staff.

Mr. Willms’ family includes his wife Sally and their two sons who he enjoys spending time with. Corey coaches volleyball and basketball, and likes to travel, read, camp, cross-country ski, golf and mountain bike. In the future he hopes to get into photography and woodworking!
